'Community' movie more likely than a new season: Dan Harmon
Six seasons and a movie is still the plan for "Community", according to series creator Dan Harmon.
London: Six seasons and a movie is still the plan for "Community", according to series creator Dan Harmon.
Harmon said that a film spin-off from the comedy series is "much more likely... Than a seventh season", reported Digital Spy.
"If we define a seventh season as one that would be coming out in a timely fashion, then I think we're well past that point," he said.
"Even if we started putting a deal together now, it would be more like a reunion special by the time the seventh came out.
"I think the series ended at the end of season six in a definitive enough way - and hopefully we'll be able to get the actors back together sooner rather than later and do some very ambitious movie project that can blow people away. But we'll see." Harmon added that he wrote the "Community" season six finale knowing it could well be the show's final installment.
"But that's not too much different. Every finale episode of every season of Community, we had to anticipate the concept that it was not coming back - and simultaneously take a bow.
"I very often with Community had to be thinking, 'Every day here at work could be the last day' - so it was relatively easy to think that way for the end of season six."
