Dear Zindagi collections: Alia Bhatt packs a solid punch, mints Rs 32 crore over weekend

New Delhi: Alia Bhatt aka Kaira's reel journey of exploring oneself in 'Dear Zindagi' has surely left an impression on viewers mind. The film by Gauri Shinde has received a warm response from both the fans and the critics alike.

Alia plays a budding cinematographer in the film where Shah Rukh Khan aka Jehangir Khan or Jug as he is fondly called is seen as her life coach. The chemistry between these two characters has been loved by all and the weekend box office collections clearly indicate that.

Noted film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and shared the weekend box office collections of 'Dear Zindagi'. He wrote: “#DearZindagi packs a SOLID PUNCH... Shows FAB growth... Fri 8.75 cr, Sat 11.25 cr, Sun 12.50 cr. Total: ₹ 32.50 cr [1200 screens]. India biz”

Looks like the numbers are expected to grow over the period of time. The film was produced by Gauri Khan, Karan Joharand Shinde under the banners of Red Chillies Entertainment, Dharma Productions and Hope Productions respectively.
