Don't want to miss chance to back good projects: Sajid Nadiadwala

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala says he doesn't want to lose the opportunity to back interesting projects.

Mumbai: Producer Sajid Nadiadwala says he doesn't want to lose the opportunity to back interesting projects.

Sajid has produced hit films like "Highway", "2 States", "Heropanti" and others. He has interesting range of films lined up for release, including Saif Ali Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer "Phantom", Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone's "Tamasha", Vishal Bharadwaj's "Rangoon", "Housefull 3" and others.

"It is difficult to greenlight films now after "Highway". I don't want to lose an opportunity to tell an interesting story. I am thankful to Kabir Khan (director) for this film ("Phantom") and to Katrina and Saif for endorsing it," Sajid told reporters here last evening at the trailer launch of "Phantom".

"Phantom" is based on Hussain Zaidi's novel `Mumbai Avengers' set in the aftermath of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks and deals with global terrorism.
The film is set to release on August 28.

After "Phantom" big films like John Abraham's "Welcome Back", Salman Khan's home production "Hero" and others are releasing back to back.

Talking about this box office competition, Sajid said, "We have only 52 weeks, there is one Christmas, Eid, Diwali and some other festive times. We are releasing our film on Raksha Bandhan... We hope Raksha Bandhan humari film ki Raksha karegi (we hope festival of Raksha Bandhan shields our film)."
