Los Angeles: Actress Emmy Rossum has revealed that she turned down 'Twilight' movie as she was not fond of the script.

The 28-year-old star landed a role in the vampire romance film - the adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's book of the same name, which was then passed to Kristen Stewart, reported Ace Showbiz.

"I passed on 'Twilight' because I didn't like the script," Rossum said. The 'Shameless' star starred in another novel adaptation of the same name by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, a supernatural romantic film 'Beautiful Creatures'.

"It's very different. It's empowering for women. A lot of the female characters were able to decide for themselves who they are going to be and what they are going to do with their lives," said Rossum.
