New Delhi: Bollywood serial kisser Emraan Hashmi has come of age with each passing film. The underrated actor has done notable work in films such as 'Shanghai', Dirty Picture' and 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbai'. In an interview with the leading daily, Emraan revealed why a biopic on cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin interested him more.

The 35-year-old actor confirmed that he is doing a biopic on the famous cricketer's life. Emraan revealed that it will be quite interesting to see how the narrative unfolds on screen.

The controversies surrounding the former Indian captain are many. From the match-fixing scandal to the loss of his son in a bike accident—Azhar's personal life has always been in the limelight. His divorce with model-turned-actress Sangeeta Bijlani also made headlines long back.

The film is reportedly helmed by 'Jannat' fame director Kunal Deshmukh.
