Excited to see upcoming 'Spider-Man' film: Marc Webb

Los Angeles: "Amazing Spider-Man" film series director Marc Webb says he is looking forward to watch Marvel's untitled "Spider-Man" reboot.

Webb was asked about his perspective about the upcoming "Spider-Man" movie at Comic-Con, while he promoted his new TV show "Limitless", reported Aceshowbiz. "I'm really psyched that Spider-Man is going back to the Marvel universe, I'm really excited to see that incarnation. And Jon Watts is directing it, I knew him from the old music video days and he'd done some really fantastic music videos so it's super exciting."

"It's sad a little bit to surrender that in a way. But it's as it must be I guess. I think there's a huge capacity for reinvention within the realm of the Spider-Man universe... there's a lot of different way so interpret that character... so I'm curious to see how that evolves," the "500 Days of Summer" director said.

He ,however, still stands by his version of Spider-Man movie. "Those films were my own films. They were very personal. A lot of people put a lot of effort into them - and Andrew and Emma and I, the producers worked very hard on them... It was a really rewarding experience in many ways.

"The reality is I don't know a lot of what went on. I had heard that it was gonna go back to Marvel and that made me curious to see what was going to unfold." When asked if he would ever return to the "Spider-Man" franchise, he replied, "Who knows? Never say never."
