`Fugly` collects Rs.2.95 crore on first day

Zee Media Bureau/Anindita Dev New Delhi: `Fugly` has managed to earn a whopping Rs.2.95 crore on its opening day, and the director Kabir Sadanand cannot stop beaming about it. He took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter, to express his happiness.

The movie marks the acting debut of boxing champion Vijender Singh, also starring Jimmy Sheirgill, Arfi Lamba, as well as newcomers Mohit Marwah and Kiara Advani. `Fugly` tackles issues such as gay prostitution, khaki-clad fascism, the excess of television journalism and more such social issues in a light manner. `Fugly` was released on Friday along with horror movie `Machli Jal Ki Rani Hai` and `Chal Bhag`.
