New Delhi: After working with megastar Amitabh Bachchan in 'Wazir' and Mani Ratnam’s Tamil movie 'Katru Veliyidai', Aditi Rao Hydari has yet again bagged a role in of the biggest B-town projects!
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Aditi is all set to work in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Indian period drama 'Padmavati' where she will essay the role of Ranveer Singh’s wife.
Reportedly, Aditi was offered the respective role on Jaya Bachchan's recommendation. Yes, you heard that right.
A source was quoted as saying, ''For a very long time, Jaya ji felt Aditi had a huge potential. Her eyes are very deep sad and expressive. Usske chehre pe ek noor hai (there’s a sparkle in her face),’ she told a friend. She went further and recommended him to Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Padmavati.''
Jointly produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures the historical film also stars Deepika Padukone who will play Mewar's queen Padmavati, Shahid Kapoor will play the king Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh will play the ruthless ruler Alauddin Khilji.
