I miss being onscreen: Preeti Jhangiani

Preeti Jhangiani says she misses the big screen.

Panaji: Actress turned producer Preeti Jhangiani, who is at the ongoing 42nd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) with her film `Sahi Dhande Galat Bande`, says she misses the big screen.
The actress, who took a two-year hiatus to give birth to her baby with actor Parvin Dabas, said, "I miss being in front of the camera. As an actress I am always hungry. It`s been two years since I acted and becoming a mother takes that much time. I am looking at some offers and will be making an announcement by first week of December." Preeti, who began her Bollywood journey with Shah Rukh Khan starrer `Mohabbatein`, turned producer with the film `Sahi Dhande Galat Bande`, an action comedy centered on a gang of four friends. It released on August 19 this year and is a part of the Indian Panorama at IFFI. She said she is happy with the critical acclaim, but the film took a hit commercially. "The day our film was released, Anna Hazare was arrested. The nation`s mood was not to watch a film. It affected us commercially. But I am happy with the critical acclaim. I didn’t expect that my very first film will be selected for IFFI," Preeti said. The film takes up the issue of land acquisition from farmers in a small village Kanjhawla. The film stars Parvin Dabas, Anupam Kher and Sharat Saxena. PTI
