If not Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who was the first choice for Chand Nawab’s character?

Mumbai: Now this may come as a huge surprise. Nawazuddin Siddiqui may not have been the first choice to essay the role of Chand Nawab in Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Apparently, Salman Khan had offered the role to Ali Quli Mirza of the ‘Bigg Boss 8’ fame.

Talking to TOI, Mirza said that the role was offered to him while he was on board the reality show. But since the show got extended by a month, he had to give it up.

However, he was offered other roles in the film, but he chose not to do them because they weren’t significant enough.

Mirza, was one of the most popular yet controversial contestants on the show. The funnyman’s fondness for Salman is evident and may be part of Kabir Khan’s films in future.

Nonetheless, after watching the film, it can be said that none could have essayed Chand Nawab but Nawazuddin. What say?
