Jake Gyllenhaal packs a punch in 'Southpaw' trailer

Los Angeles: Hollywood actor Jake Gyllenhaal has got into action mode in the new trailer of Antoine Fuqua 's ‘Southpaw’. In the trailer, the actor is introduced as a heavyweight world champion embroiled in an intense fighting sequence in the boxing ring.

Gyllenhaal's character name is Billy Hope.

The trailer opens with Hope as a heavyweight world champion after he defeats his enemy in a boxing ring. The trailer also plays a story where Hope has a good career and he lives everyone's dream before the murder of his loving wife (Rachel McAdams) shatters his life, reports aceshowbiz.com.

The trailer also gives a sneak peak of the plot as Hope enters the hardest battle of his life to win back the trust of those he loves.

Gyllenhaal is joined by the likes of Naomie Harris, Oona Laurence, Miguel Gomez, 50 Cent, Victor Ortiz, Malcolm M. Mays and Beau Knapp in the film.
