Jennifer Lawrence plays Joy Mangano in biopic

London: Jennifer Lawrence`s upcoming biopic about entrepreneur Joy Mangano is all set to hit theatres on Christmas Day in 2015. `Joy` reunites Academy-award winning Lawrence with her `Silver Linings Playbook` and `American Hustle` director David O Russell, reportedly. The Christmas Day release date will put `Joy` up against `Mission: Impossible 5` and `Kung Fu Panda 3`. `Joy` will chronicle the journey of Mangano from being a Long Island housewife to finding worldwide success as the inventor of the Miracle Mop. Annie Mumolo is writing the screenplay for `Joy`, following her box office success with the Oscar-nominated `Bridesmaids`.
