Kareena Kapoor Khan's exit drops hope of 'Sadma' remake?
Initially, it was believed that Kareena Kapoor Khan and Ranveer Singh will portray the lead roles in the remake.
New Delhi: Ever since there were talks about remaking 'Sadma' – the 1983 blockbuster starring Kamal Haasan and Sridevi – B-Town had been quite perked up with anticipation. Admirers of the film too showed their eagerness for the remake. Initially, it was believed that Kareena Kapoor Khan and Ranveer Singh will portray the lead roles in the remake.
However, a report in India.com revealed that Kareena may not be part of the film any more. This has apparently forced the makers to shelve the project as they felt Bebo was the apt choice for the film. The makers believed that she had the grit to do the lead role which Sridevi pulled off with ease.
Also, Vidya Balan was approached for the challenging role, but she too declined it fearing she might not live up to Sridevi's character, reports suggest.
