Karen Gillan joins Emma Watson in 'The Circle'

Los Angeles: "Doctor Who" star Karen Gillan has joined the cast of sci-fi thriller "The Circle".

Gillan revealed on Twitter that she will share the screen with the stars of two beloved film series - "Star Wars" actor John Boyega and "Harry Potter" star Emma Watson, reported Variety.

"The Circle" will also feature Hollywood legend Tom Hanks. "Very excited to be joining this amazing team," Gillan excitedly tweeted tweeted earlier in the day.

"The Circle" tells the story of Mae Holland (Watson), who goes to work for a mysterious corporation that links users' emails, social media and banking into one unified identity. "The Circle" - based on Dave Eggers's 2013 novel - is currently slotted to open next year.
