Fans and the Bollywood fraternity are eager to watch Varun undergo the transition from his previous lover boy image to the dark and angry one in `Badlapur`.

The Sriram Raghavan helmed film has a very unusual title for a movie and one can only wonder why was it named so.

Well, according to a leading daily, since badla in hindi means revenge and the story plot revolves around Varun's revenge and also his character witnesses change during the journey (badlav).

Incidentally, Badlapur is also a suburb's name on Central railway route in Mumbai. This has a very significant aspect in the film.
