Matt Gerald to play villain in `Ant-Man`

Los Angeles: Actor Matt Gerald has signed on to play a villain in Marvel`s upcoming Ant-Man movie. The film is set to star Paul Rudd in the title role, along with Corey Stoll, Patrick Wilson and Evangeline Lilly. Gerald recently starred in the Marvel one-shot All Hail the King, where he played a character called White Power Dave. It is unclear if he will be reprising that role in Ant-Man, or playing an entirely new character. Marvel has been relatively consistent with universe tie-ins for all of its properties, with recent release `Captain America: The Winter Soldier` connecting to the current season of Agents of SHIELD. `Ant-Man` is scheduled for release on July 17, 2015 in the US and the UK.
