MGM to make new live-action/animation `Pink Panther` movie

Washington:MGM will be making a new `Pink Panther` movie, a live-action/animated fusion, which will have the essence of the original cartoons by Friz Freleng and David De Patie, along with Blake Edwards` films. According to Deadline.com, MGM`s president Jonathan Glickman said that they were proud to re-introduce ` Pink Panther` to a brand new generation in such a fresh way. The film, which will be helmed by `Monsters Inc` director David Silverman, will be produced by Walter Mirisch, executive producer of the original movies and TV series, along with Julie Andrews.
