Los Angeles: Filmmaker Xavier Dolan's 'Mommy' has released a new trailer. The video is the first official US trailer for the Cannes Film Festival hit, reportedly.
The film centres around a single mother who decides to get her troubled son back on track. She enlists the help of her teacher neighbour, but it remains uncertain whether the boy can overcome his violent tendencies.
Anne Dorval, Suzanne Clement and Antoine-Olivier Pilon star in the French-language Canadian movie. The film won the Jury Prize at Cannes and has been named Canada's Oscar entry.
Jessica Chastain has signed on for actor-director Dolan's first English project. 'Mommy' was released in Canada earlier this month. It will screen at the London Film Festival next month, and will debut in the US in January.
