`Nayak Returns` to have a fresh subject: Anil Kapoor

Actor Anil Kapoor says that `Nayak Returns` will have a completely fresh subject and it won`t be a sequel.

Mumbai: Actor Anil Kapoor says that `Nayak Returns` will have a completely fresh subject and it won`t be a sequel. `Nayak` (2001) was a political action thriller starring Kapoor, Rani Mukerji and Amrish Puri. The film was a remake of
S Shankar`s successful Tamil film `Mudhalvan`.Now `Nayak 2` is rolling out, though Kapoor says it is not a sequel. "I have just signed `Nayak 2` and it is my responsibility to put the project together. It is not a sequel to `Nayak`. The film is completely a fresh subject but it is something similar... The character is same. We will try to do something special," the actor said. Kapoor will be seen next in `Sharmaji Ka Atom Bomb`, directed by Abhishek Sharma (of `Tere Bin Laden` fame). A comedy, it is to go on floors by the end of this year. Reportedly, the film is going to have Tabu as well. Kapoor is also looking forward to working with Rajkumar Santoshi for a film based on the Partition. (They had worked together in `Pukar` (2000) and `Lajja` (2001).) "The film with Rajkumar Santoshi, it is very ambitious film and an excellent role, it is one of the best roles that I have come across," he said. PTI
