`Piku` winning hearts at Box Office

New Delhi: Amitabh Bachchan starrer `Piku` which released on May 8 has already won words of appreciation from the critics. And Bollywood simply cannot have enough of this magical movie.

‘Piku’, directed by Shoojit Sircar, which depicts the story of heart-warming relationship of a father and a daughter has witnessed massive growth at the domestic market and minted over Rs 14 crores on second day of its release.

The movie which also stars Deepika Padukone and Irrfan raked in around Rs 5 crores in the opening day itself. 

Trade Analyst, Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to announce `Piku's box-office earning so far.

`Piku biz witnesses massive growth on Day 2. Fri 5.32 cr, Sat 8.70 cr. Total: 14.02 cr. India biz. Winning hearts. Winning BO (sic.).,` he posted.

`Piku` revolves around the beautiful relationship of a father (Amitabh Bachchan) and a daughter (played by Deepika Padukone), while Irrfan Khan plays a mediator of sorts between the two.
