Raai Laxmi lands a special role in 'Akira'

Mumbai: Raai Laxmi is set to make her Bollywood debut in a special appearance in A.R. Murugadoss-directed ‘Akira’, which features Raai Laxmi in the lead. The Southern actress has already joined the team on sets.

"Happy 2 announce my first debut in Bollywood as a guest appearance fr @ARMurugadoss sirs movie #Akira a great start (sic)," Laxmi posted on her Twitter page.

Said to be the remake of Tamil sleeper hit 'Mounaguru', the film also features Anurag Kashyap as the antagonist.

"It was great experience 2 share my screen space with @anuragkashyap72Aa versatile actor director n multi talented," she posted.

The film, a thriller, is currently on floors here and is produced by Fox Star Studios

'Akira' will also feature Sonakshi's father and veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha in an important role. It marks Murugadoss's third Hindi venture after back-to-back hits 'Ghajini' and 'Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty'.
