New Delhi: Come June 21, 2013, and three films will be seen battling it out at the Box Office. The movies that await release June 21 are ‘Raanjhanaa’, ‘Shortcut Romeo’ and ‘Enemmy’.
The buzz for ‘Raanjhanaa’ has been ringing loud and clear for quite some time now. What with Kolaveri sensation Dhanush stepping into Bollywood and Sonam Kapoor breaking out of her dull phase (Read: ‘Mausam’, ‘Players’ and the like), ‘Raanjhanaa’ seems pretty promising. Director Anand L. Rai, whose last release, ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ turned out to be a hit, is the brain behind ‘Raanjhanaa’. Oscar winning music director AR Rahman has lent his magic touch and the music has been featuring prominently on the charts for a while now. This Friday will decide the verdict of the film – but from the hype that has been surrounding it, good footfalls are expected in theatres.
Close on the heels of ‘Raanjhanaa’ is ‘Shortcut Romeo’ – director Susi Ganeshan’s handiwork. Revolving around Neil Nitin Mukesh, Puja Gupta and Ameesha Patel, ‘Shortcut Romeo’ is a romantic crime thriller. Neil plays the lead and Puja, his love interest. Ameesha Patel will be seen in a negative character for the first time in her career.
The third release this week, ‘Enemmy’, is a cop action drama directed by Ashu Trikha and produced by Yogita Bali. The film stars Mithun Chakraborty, Suneil Shetty and Kay Kay Menon in pivotal roles.
