Ranbir Kapoor signs a hefty production deal for ‘Jagga Jasoos’

Zee Media Bureau/ Aparna Mudi New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor has reportedly signed a 100 crore deal with Disney UTV to co produce ‘Jagga Jasoos’.

According to a leading daily, Ranbir, who has established himself as this generation’s superstar has made a contract with the production house allegedly for a whopping 100 crores for the upcoming comedy. The actor who 31 turned recently has established himself as a hit making actor and production houses have been taking risks with him. His recent movies have all done well at the Box Office. ‘Besharam’ that released on 2nd October this year has opened very well, with most theatres reporting a house-full on the opening day. If rumours are to be believed, Siddharth Roy Kapur joins the brigade of other big production names to invest in the young actor in the last two years. ‘Besharam’ was co produced by Reliance Entertainment and Movie Temple. Ranbir has also floated Picture Shuru Productions along with Anurag Basu, and the duo have previously come together to make the critically acclaimed ‘Barfi!’. ‘Jagga Jasoos’ is a musical comedy about a young detective and his zany adventures. Extensive plans for the movie have already been made, including a television spin off and a comic book. Here is wishing the actor can keep up to the challenge and prove his mettle once more at the Box Office.
