New Delhi: Biopics in Bollywood are the current flavour of the season. After super successful 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' and 'Mary Kom', now is the turn for a controversial figure's life to be told on celluloid. According to a leading daily, underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's younger sister, Haseena Parker's life will be immortalised on screen.
If reports are anything to go by, then filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia is working on the subject, and has even decided to cast ace actress Rani Mukerji for the lead role. After Haseena's husband, Ismail Parker was killed in 1991, she stayed put in an area called Nagpada, in Mumbai. Haseena became the patroness of Nagpada, and was hugely popular in the locality. However, don's younger sister breathed her last this year, following a cardiac arrest.
No confirmation has been made, either from the filmmaker's side or from the actress. But whether Rani gives her nod to play such a powerful character on screen, only time will tell.
