Mumbai: Sanjay Leela Bhansali will not have to wait more than a year to see his dream translating into a reality! His dream project Padmavati starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor will hit the silverscreen next year.
Yes, you heard that right. The big budget film, which has been in news for all wrong reasons, will go on floors shortly and release next year.
The official Twitter handle - @RealPadmavati states that the film will be releasing on December 15, 2017.
SLB had to wait for over a decade to see his ambitious ‘Bajirao Mastani’ becoming a reality. He was initially planning to cast Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai in the film but had to put it on hold until he found Ranveer and Deepika.
Speculations were rife that the ace filmmaker was facing a number of issues to get his lead actors Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor on board.
With Deepika essaying the titular role, it will be interesting to see her on screen chemistry with Shahid for the first time. She will be playing the Rajput Queen while Shahid will step into the shoes of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh. Ranveer, who has been SLB’s blue-eyed boy, will turn into an antagonist for the film by playing Alauddin Khilji.
DeepVeer will certainly be happy to know that ‘Padmavati’ is now a reality.
So, guys, lets cheer for the Padmavati supertar trio – Shahid, Ranveer and Deepika – and wish them all the very best.
