Tigmanshu Dhulia does it again! The maverick filmmaker, who is best known for making hard hitting film like ‘Haasil’ has once again come up with a quirky, yet realistic film about a corrupt police and his tryst with politicians and gangsters. The story is about a corrupt cop (Nana Patekar), who does his job well and is unapologetic about being corrupt. He may clean the garbage (read criminals) of the society but would also take side by the corrupt politician (Zakir Hussain) and gangsters (Anurag Kashyap) as per his convenience. Trouble begins when his way of working is challenged by a new entrant in his team played by Mohit Ahlawat. The film works because of its topical issue. It has all the basic ingredients like corrupt politicians, deadly gangsters and quirky cops. Nana Patekar proves once again that he is an actor par excellence. Give him any role and he can deliver it with élan. His relationship with the dirty politician and gangster is portrayed brilliantly. Anurag Kashyap makes for a good gangster. Someone should make him act in few films. It would be lovely to watch this talented filmmaker in front of the screen. What is interesting to note that a new trend has begun in Bollywood. After Salman and Abhishek, Nana portrays a corrupt cop who is good at heart but doesn’t mind going on the other side once in a while. Shot in crowded lanes of Delhi, the film is edgy and keeps the viewer engaged throughout. Ratings: Three cheers for this one!
