Los Angeles: Director Ridley Scott has cast 'Breaking Bad' star Aaron Paul in his epic film 'Exodus: Gods and Kings'.
The actor, who achieved global fame with his role of Jesse Pinkman, will play the role of Joshua, a Hebrew slave who helps Moses, played by Christian Bale, lead the Hebrews out of Egypt in the director's upcoming film.
Scott, best known for movies like 'Gladiator', 'Prometheus' and 'Alien' is apparently a 'Breaking Bad' fan and met Paul for the first time when the actor flew from Los Angeles to London for 24 hours of hair and makeup tests. "Aaron brings a freshness to the role of Joshua and he just slipped into character and into the period seamlessly," Scott said.
Paul is also full of praise for the director.
"Ridley has so much energy and he believes the story he is telling in all his movies. That's what makes him such a powerful director; you listen to him talk and these worlds exist, whether it's Alien, Blade Runner or Exodus: Gods and Kings."
The film is slated to release in India on December 5 in five languages (English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam).
