Shah Rukh Khan to go global for `Happy New Year`!

If there is one man who can show the world what stardom means its none other than Shah Rukh Khan.

Zee Media Bureau/Ritika Handoo New Delhi: If there is one man who can show the world what stardom means its none other than Shah Rukh Khan. When king Khan (as he is fondly called) decides to put his foot forward for a film, he makes sure the venture gets full publicity and exposure. This time too is no different. SRK, who will be seen in close-friend Farah Khan`s `Happy New Year`, has reportedly planned some innovative marketing strategies. According to media reports, the 48-year-old actor has decided to make it as extravagant and larger-than-life as possible. The grapevine has it that Shah Rukh will be seen globe-trotting for the film along with the entire star cast as part of his promotional strategy. If all goes well, the actor may hold road shows where the cast will travel abroad, visit different cities across the globe—meeting the fans and interacting with them. This unusual way of film promotion has so far not been done by any big star in Bollywood. `Happy New Year` of course stands special for the romantic Khan as this will be the first film after Farah and Shah Rukh patched up. Earlier, the director-actor duo gave super hits such as `Main Hoon Na` and `Om Shanti Om` together. `Happy New Year` is slated to hit the theatres on October 23, 2014. The film stars Deepika Padukone in the lead opposite Shah Rukh. Besides these actors, the film has an ensemble cast featuring Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah.
