Los Angeles: The third installment of 2005 drama 'The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' is being developed, says its actress America Ferrera.
'Sisterhood of Traveling Pants' was based on an Ann Brashares young-adult novel series of the same name. The second installment of the franchise, titled, 'Sisterhood of Traveling Pants 2' released in 2008, reported People magazine.
The upcoming film will be based on the fifth book in the Brashares' series, actress Ferrera said at New York City launch of her husband Ryan Piers Williams's art exhibit, 'Monsters and Landscapes'.
"It's actually very much in the works. There's a fifth book, and what's wonderful about it is, and the series to begin with, is that it's really raw and honest about friendship and how hard it can be and how it changes as you grow up," Ferrara, 30, said.
"We love each other, and we love this series, and we are so proud of the work that we did together that it would be wonderful to come back at do another one," she added.
Ferrara's co-star from the film, Amber Tamblyn, 31, attended the exhibit to help support Williams.
