Mumbai: Actress Sonal Chauhan has denied reports that she shared several kissing scenes with co-star Neil Nitin Mukesh in their upcoming psychological thriller `3G`.
Sonal, who made her debut opposite Emraan Hashmi in `Jannat` is back with Shantanu Ray Chibber and Sheershak Anand`s horror film. The trailer of the movie shows the two actors cosying up with a lip-lock.
"There aren`t many intimate scenes in the film... Looking at the promos one might feel so but it is not like that. It is a psychological thriller... So it stays true to its theme," she said.
The grapevine had it that Neil shares 30 kisses with Sonal on screen but the actress denies it.
"If there are 30 kisses I wonder where are the scenes. It is not right... I don`t know where it comes from," she said.
As far as intimate scenes are concerned Sonal is game for it provided she is convinced.
"If someone tells me they want to put intimate scenes for promotional reasons then definitely not. But if it is important for the script then its okay," she said.
"Like in this film there is a beautiful love song and it ends with a kiss. In today`s time you can`t fool the audience and say they are lovers holding hands and running on beach. I feel an actor must be convinced first. Anything and everything that you do as an actor must be done with conviction," she added.
`3G` is a story of a couple played by Neil and Sonal, who become victims of a series of events when Neil buys a 3G enabled second hand phone in Fiji while on a holiday. One night they receive a phantom call which changes their lives forever.
The film releases on March 15.
