`The Shaukeens` to release in November

New Delhi: Critically acclaimed actor Anupam Kher posted about the upcoming movie `The Shaukeens` release date. Scheduled for a November release, the movie is a remake of the classic comedy `Shaukeen`. The original Basu Chatterjee movie starred Ashok Kumar, Utpal Dutt, A.K. Hangal,Rati Agnihotri and Mithun Chakraborty in central roles. Kher tweeted:

Happy to announce the release date of #TheShaukeens. It is 7th Nov. Be ready for this fantasy ride. Jai Ho.:) @HaydonLisa @annukapoor_

Actress Lisa Haydon, who impressed the audience in the recent Kangana Ranaut starrer `Queen` also posted on her handle on the popular micro blogging site:

This would be Akshay`s fourth release this year after the hit `Holiday`, a cameo in ` Fugly` and the upcoming masala flick `Entertainment`. The central characters in the movie are the three lecherous oldies though, played by Annu Kapoor and Piyush Mishra with Kher. `The Shaukeens` is being helmed by Abhishek Sharma. With the date set, it seems that it will clash with Ajay Devgn`s `Action Jackson`. We will just have to wait and watch.
