Toonz celebrates double win at FICCI awards

"Gaturro" (3D stereoscopic feature film), a co-production of Toonz and Illusion Studios, Argentina, won the best animated feature film trophy and "Little Kalari Warriors" (2D TV Series), conceived and created by a team in Toonz, won the best animated promo award Friday. "We are on cloud nine. Winning two awards in a highly competitive platform like FRAMES is a dream come true for all of us at Toonz," said P. Jayakumar, CEO, Toonz Animation. Gaturro topped the box office in Argentina and will hit screens in India shortly. The Best Animated Frames (BAF) Awards was started in 2004 by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Industry and Commerce (FICCI) to recognize and honour professionals in the field of animation. The contest receives top-notch entries from across the globe. Toonz Entertainment specialises in the production, world-wide sales and distribution of animated feature films, direct to video content and television series. Founded in 1999, Toonz`s client list includes the biggest names in media and entertainment like Marvel, Hallmark, Paramount, Disney, BBC and Cartoon Network.
