Top reasons to watch Karan Johar's 'Kapoor and Sons'!

New Delhi: One of the most awaited films of the year 'Kapoor and Sons' will be hitting the theatres on March 18, 2016. The trailer of the movie which was unveiled Wednesday has created a lot of ripples amongst Karan Johar fans. The film has been produced by Johar and directed by Shakun Batra. It features Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, Fawad Khan, Ratna Pathak Shah, Rajat Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor.

Here's a few highlights of the trailer which certainly ups our curiosity to meet the weirdo family.

Fawad Khan:

This Pakistani actor has already stolen a lot of hearts with his good looks. No doubt about the fact that he is like an icing on the cake! He debuted with 'Khoobsurat' and took home a Filmfare for it. We can't wait to watch him in this one.

Alia Bhatt-Sidharth Malhotra's chemistry:

Rumoured real life couple Sidharth and Alia will be sharing the screen for the second time since 'Student of The Year' in 2012. The two are sharing a crackling chemistry in the trailer.

Love triangle!

It is not just Alia and Sidharth who seem to be romancing in this family drama with oodles of romance – but looks like it's a love triangle. Fawad will be romancing Alia – and there's little doubt that the two look amazing!

Shakun Batra's direction:

After gleaning praise for infusing state-of-the-art style direction in his movie 'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu' – we can only wait and watch if he has done some artistry with this family drama.

Family drama:

Last year's 'Dil Dhadakne Do' had a similar line of story – a bunch of weird family members dealing with certain issues. Amidst the biopics and sex comedies that will be flooding 2016 – it's refreshing to watch a light-hearted family drama.

Full-on drama:

The movie will showcase a myriad of emotions ranging from joy to sadness – we can see that in the trailer. While the first half seems to be drenched with fun and merry – the second half is a bit tearful, it seems!

The senior cast:

Rishi Kapoor will be playing a very old man in the film, his make-up of an old man looks impeccable. Added to this string are talented actors: Ratna Pathak Shah and Rajat Kapoor. Certainly, it's not just the young cast which will grab our attention but the old one too.
