New Delhi: Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra took a big leap helming a Hollywood project titled 'Broken Horses'. The movie has been received with mostly positive reviews in India.

But the case is not the same in the West. Many leading US dailies have given mixed to negative reviews to the motion picture. Rotten Tomatoes, a leading critics aggregator has rated the movie a mere 1.5 stars out of 5.

Even though the performances have been appreciated, the film seems to have failed to impress many of the critics. Starring María Valverde, Thomas Jane, Anton Yelchin, Vincent D'Onofrio and Sean Patrick Flanery, the mystery thriller is set against the drug war in the troubled-Mexican border.

Chopra is known for his hit Hindi films like the Munnabhai franchise, '3 Idiots' and most recently 'PK'. His Bollywood ventures have been well received by people and '3 Idiots' and 'PK' even managed to break the Box Office records.

However, even if this film fails to make a ring at the BO, it will still mark a huge leap for mainstream Indian movie directors. It is a mirror to more such projects. Bollywood is going global!
