Los Angeles: French actor Vincent Cassel is all set to play the villain in the next installment of the Jason Bourne franchise, starring Matt Damon. The action movie will also have Alicia Vikander and Tommy Lee Jones on board while Julia Stiles is set to return, reported Variety.
Paul Greengrass is back to direct and co-write the script with Christopher Rouse. The story is still under wrap but sources believe Cassel will play an assassin tracking Bourne.
Bourne had some great actors as villains. The previous actors who were a part of the franchise in negative role include Clive Owen, Karl Urban and Edgar Ramirez.

Production is expected to begin later this summer. The film will bow on July 29, 2016. The actor's movie credits include "Black Swan", "Ocean's Twelve", "Ocean's Thirteen" and "The Apartment" among others.
Damon's three Bourne movies, which began in 2002 and ended in 2007, grossed nearly $1 billion at the worldwide box office. Cassel is repped by CAA and Agence Adequat and was most recently seen in Child 44. He can next be seen in Partisan, which is scheduled for release in the U.S. On October 2.
