Wasn't commercially viable to have new girl in 'Mary Kom'

Mumbai: Priyanka Chopra admits that the idea to cast a new face for "Mary Kom" was debated, but it was not commercially viable keeping the film's budget in mind.

"Yes, there was a lot of debate that a new girl from the northeast should be launched with the film, but with the kind of budget the film was being made, it was not commercially viable for the producers,” said Priyanka who is playing the boxing champ in the biopic coming out Friday.
