‘Welcome Back’ time for Rekha, Amitabh Bachchan?

Zee Media Bureau/ Gayatri Sankar Mumbai: They stole millions of hearts with their sizzling chemistry in ‘Silsila’ and were touted as one of the best on screen couples of their times. Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan looked like “a made for each other couple” every time they shared screen space together. And fans of this super-hit jodi might get to see the duo work in a film again, almost after a gap of three decades! If the latest buzz is anything to go by, then the evergreen diva of Hindi cinema has agreed to do a film with Big B. The film in question, ‘Welcome Back’, a sequel to ‘Welcome’, will be directed by Anees Bazmee and will be produced by Firoz Nadiadwala. Bazmee, who happens to be a big fan of both Rekha and Big B, will reportedly meet the veterans to discuss their roles in the film. In the past, Rekha and Amitabh have worked in ‘Do Anjaane’, ‘Suhaag’, ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikander’, ‘Mr Natwarlal’, ‘Khoon Pasina’, ‘Namak Haram’ and several other films. Here’s hoping that audiences get an opportunity to warmly ‘Welcome Back’ this beautiful jodi on the silver screen soon.
