Los Angeles: Pop star Ariana Grande will make her big screen debut with a cameo role in the upcoming film "Zoolander 2".
The news is revealed by Oscar-winning Susan Sarandon following the "Problem" songstress' donut-licking controversy. Susan previously supported Grande on Twitter. The 22-year-old singer was recently filmed licking un-purchased donuts on display trays and saying, "I hate America."
In an interview with Vulture, Sarandon explained her tweet, "Well, I just worked with her. We did 'Zoolander 2' together, in Rome. She couldn't be more professional or sweet. Her mom is great. Clearly (her remarks were) taken out of context."
"She's smart, and she's a really great, very talented person. It's just ridiculous they're jumping on her the way they are."
"Zoolander 2" is directed by Ben Stiller with a script from him and Justin Theroux. He also stars in the comedy flick along with Owen Wilson, Penelope Cruz, Christine Taylor, Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig.
In addition to Ariana, Justin Bieber will appear in the "Zoolander" sequel which is scheduled to hit US theatres on February 12, 2016.
