London: Singer-songwriter Adam Lambert has announced a brand new solo album as part of his new record deal with Warner Music.

The album will release in April, said reports.

"I think people are going to be really surprised. The album feels like a new era for me - emotionally, lyrically, sonically. It feels fresh," he said.

Lambert is working with legendary Swedish hit-makers Max Martin and Shelback who have crafter huge global hits for the likes of Pink, Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera.

The 33-year-old American said he is increasingly influenced by what is happening on the UK and European music scene.

"Being on the road with a British rock band, and being in London a lot this year... I think that has affected my sound and where we are headed with it. Europe is very ahead of the curve... And I was definitely influenced by that."
