Britney Spears to sign Las Vegas deal

Los Angeles: Pop star Britney Spears is all set to sign a year-long residency deal in Las Vegas at the Strip`s five-star Caesar`s Palace and will reportedly earn USD 100 million. The 31-year-old singer is expected to complete the paperwork at the end of this month and start the 80-date run in Sin City in late Spring, TMZ reported. "The deal is a go. There are several stipulations that could throw a monkey wrench in the deal, but it`s basically done," a source said. Spears will also get a free run of a hotel penthouse for the duration of the headline show. It is not yet decided whether she will just perform on stage at a big theater multiple nights a week, or whether she will also make appearances at functions in the hotels, nightclubs and pool day clubs. It is believed that the contract is on a rolling one-year basis. There is also likely to be a clause stating that she must appear in a set number of shows before she gets paid. PTI
