Chair in Gangubai Hanagal`s name in Karnatak University
For the first time in Karnataka, a Chair has been established in the name of renowned Hindustani vocalist Gangubai Hanagal in Karnatak University by the state government.

Hubli, Nov 05: For the first time in Karnataka, a Chair has been established in the name of renowned Hindustani vocalist Gangubai Hanagal in Karnatak University by the state government.Dr Gangubai Hanagal-Chair has been set up to study the Padmavibhushan awardee`s "musical journey in the last 96 years of her life", Dr S K Saidapur, Vice-Chancellor of the university said inaugurating the Chair here today.
The Chair consists of her collections of audios, videos and all programmes rendered by her in India and abroad.
