British rock group Coldplay has thanked fans in India for welcoming them with open arms while promising to visit the country again soon.

Los Angeles: British rock group Coldplay has thanked fans in India for welcoming them with open arms while promising to visit the country again soon.

The group's new video "Hymn For The Weekend," was shot in Mumbai, India and the manager of the band, Phil Harvey, took to Twitter to thank the residents of Worli village of the city.

"I see Hymn for the Weekend is at No 1 on iTunes India - unbelievable!! Thank you to the people of India for making us feel so welcome... And especially the residents of Worli Village, Mumbai for making our video possible. We had so much fun," the band posted on their official Twitter handle.

They also thanked Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor and pop diva Beyonce for being part of the video. "Thank you @beyonce & @sonamakapoor for gracing the video with your angelic beauty. My new mission: bring Coldplay back to India asap. PH," he wrote.

Directed by Ben Mor, the video was shot in the streets of Mumbai with its theme anchored around the festival of Holi.
