Faridkot launches its second album `Phir Se`

Armed with their signature hooklines and brand of ‘confused pop’, Faridkot is back with their 2nd studio album titled Phir Se. Backed by a well-received 1st album, Faridkot attempts to challenge the existing boundaries of popular music, in this Universal Music release.

New Delhi: Armed with their signature hooklines and brand of ‘confused pop’, Faridkot is back with their 2nd studio album titled Phir Se. Backed by a well-received 1st album, Faridkot attempts to challenge the existing boundaries of popular music, in this Universal Music release. `Phir se` is an Electronic album produced through Rock N Roll sounds with as the band members say, “nostalgic ideas of the future”. With this album, Faridkot for the 1st time features 5 guest artists namely, Aditi Singh Sharma (Vocal Duet on Gulz), Suhail Yusuf Khan (Saarangi solo on Aaina), Gyan Singh (Tabla on Jats), Subadhra Kamath and Sonam Gaychen Wangdi (Background vocals). The album was mixed in LA, California and mastered at the coveted Mastering Palace in New York, USA. The album features 10 tracks that sway between the many emotions: From introspection in Aaina, realisation of the energy source that makes us who we are in - `Bijli`, to love for the natural and cosmic beauty around us captured in `Gul` and `Suno`, `Phir Se` encapsulates many shades of wonder. The band has also been travelling across India with its new album. The Delhi gig feature?d? Faridkot along with some stellar artists such as Sushmit Sen (former guitarist for Indian Ocean), Suhail Yusuf Khan (Sarangi player for Advaita, a fusion rock band), Gyan Singh (tabla player), Sharat Chandra (classical violinist and founder for Mrigya) and Ritesh Prasanna (the latest signature in the realm of flute playing in the country) Please find attached the press note along with some high-resolution photographs of the band.
