Ronnie Wood dispels Rolling Stones exit rumours

Ronnie Wood has rubbished rumours that he is being dropped from the band.

London: Ronnie Wood has rubbished rumours that he is being dropped from legendary band Rolling Stones, amid his battle with booze. The guitarist has been hounded with reports that he was excluded from the band because of alcoholism, and fans were left stunned when the band`s official website listed Wood as a member from 1976-2010.
The site editors, however, changed the status as "1976-present". Despite working on the reunion of The Faces and coping with his alcohol abuse issues, Wood has confirmed that he is still very much a part of the band. "The Stones are great about The Faces. They are encouraging. In the downtime between The Stones` activity, you might as well do something constructive and keep the chops going," The Daily Express quoted him as saying. Earlier this week the band’s drummer Charlie Watts was also rumoured to be leaving the group, but the band`s representative has since issued a denial, saying, "We would like to make it clear that drummer Charlie Watts has not left The Rolling Stones."
