Washington: Sam Smith's recent vocal surgery is not stopping the singer to celebrate the one-year anniversary of his debut album with fans.

The 'Stay With Me' singer took to Twitter to thanks his fans for supporting his music over the past year and said, "You've made my dreams come true. I love you all xx #HappyBirthdayITLH", E! Online reported.

The Grammy winning singer tweeted that 'Stay With Me' song speaks for itself and has changed his universe and the day he wrote this song he reacted in a way he never reacted.

The 23-year-old singer continued that he completely broke down in tears when listening back to the vocals in the chorus.

Talking about his vocal surgery, Smith added that he will be back in 6-8 weeks.
