Los Angeles: Singer Ed Sheeran continued his reign at the top of the Official UK Albums Chart this week, as x reaches its 12th non-consecutive week at number one.

The 23-year-old 'Thinking Out Loud' singer also celebrated his second-biggest one-week sales tally, with only the album's release week in June seeing more copies sold, Billboard.

The entire top five is unchanged from last week, with Sam Smith continuing to hold on to the number two spot with his debut album In the Lonely Hour.
The Official Charts Company recently announced that the album has sold over 1 million copies.

Olly Murs held on to the number three position with his fourth studio album Never Been Better, while George Ezra remains at number four with his debut Wanted on Voyage.

Take That completed the top five with their first album to be recorded as a three-piece, III.

Ella Henderson's Chapter One returned to the top ten, jumping from number 11 to eight, while Paloma Faith's A Perfect Contradiction moved up five places from last week to number nine.

Michael Buble's Christmas album, Christmas, is at number ten. Coldplay's Ghost Stories jumped from 38 to 20. Arctic Monkeys' AM climbes 32 places to re-enter the Top 40 at number 39.
