Will.I.Am splurges 15,000 pounds on clothes in 30 minutes

London: Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.I.Am splurged 15,000 pounds on designer clothing during a 30-minute shopping spree. The 35-year-old star arranged for a private shopping spree at designer Vivienne Westwood`s upmarket store here and made the most of having the shop to himself, a news website reported. "Will.i.am turned up out of the blue and his minders arranged with the store manager to close the shop for him," a source said. "He was in a good mood and went wild. He said he loves the cutting-edge fashion in London and thinks Vivienne is incredibly talented," he added. The thrifty producer, who has been romantically linked to `Girls Aloud` star Cheryl Cole since she split from soccer star husband Ashley Cole in February, even managed to get a hefty discount on his purchases. The staff agreed to let him pay half price for the items, which included a number of pieces from the women`s collection. "His minders negotiated a discount. He wandered into the women`s section and bought a few dresses and a handbag. He knew exactly what he wanted and couldn`t get enough of it," the source said. PTI
