Mumbai: Eros International Media Limited, has entered into a strategic tie-up with music company T-Series for a part of its forthcoming music slate, a company official said today.
"The licensing deal will allow Eros to monetise some of its new music titles upfront while T Series will push the distribution in physical and digital formats as well as through radio, television and public performance during the term," Eros International Media Ltd, Managing Director, Sunil
Lulla said here.
Some of the titles included are the yet to be released `Anjana Anjaani` starring Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra with music by Vishal and Shekhar, `Ra.One` starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor with music by Vishal and Shekhar and `Rockstar` starring Ranbir Kapoor with music by A R Rehman, he said.
Eros will retain the rights to exploit the music videos on its own Eros branded digital platforms and services including but not limited to cable and Internet throughout the term, Lulla said.
Eros will also continue to monetise its music catalogue which does not form part of the current deal with T-Series.
Pre-sales done through the recently announced television syndication deal with Star as well as the T-Series music licensing deal have given the company visibility on distribution for 2011 and 2012, he added.
