Mumbai: Lead singer of Indian band Euphoria, Palash Sen is mighty peeved with Interior Ministry in Pakistan for not granting him permission to perform in Lahore.
Sen has said that the Ministry kept them waiting for long and denied issuing a NOC at the eleventh hour when everyone was almost ready to leave for the neighbouring country.
Talking to a leading daily, a visibly miffed Palash said, “I`m really upset... The Pak Ministry of Interior never gave us an NOC, and kept everyone waiting till the nth hour. They kept us hanging, and then refused to issue one on the afternoon of March 23.”
Palash who had earlier performed in Pakistan way back in 2008 was excited about his 2012 trip across the border. But unfortunately, he was unable to realize his dream of performing at the Lahore University of Management Studies.
The singer is also amused by the fact that artistes from across the border travel frequently for work to India and find no trouble either while applying for Visas or acquiring NOCs.
“How come their artistes are here all the time? If their ministry is so strict, why is ours so lenient? They simply told the college that there were security concerns, so the NOC wasn`t issued. We were going without any fear whatsoever! This really is disturbing,” said Palash.
