Indore: A die hard fan of melody queen Lata Mangeshkar has created a museum of rare gramophone records of the legendary singer.
Suman Chaurasia has built a museum titled `Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Gramophone Record Museum` near singer`s birthplace, Indore. Chaurasia, 61, who runs a tea stall in the Railway station, says his museum boasts of 6000 songs of Lata. "I have almost all the gramophone records of Lata`s songs right from her first song to the numbers she sung in All India Radio," he told to reporters. "Searching for gramophone records is very difficult because they have become a passe now. Many of her songs were released in limited number, so finding them is always a task," he said. Chaurasia, who has been collecting songs for past 40-years, has collected 28,000 rare gramophones records, which also include singers from Pakistan, Bangladesh and West. PTI
